How Everroad lists dealers

Everroad lists franchise car dealerships and the facts a driver needs before visiting: when sales and service are open, what the dealer posts for fees, and what the service department offers. This page explains what we include, where each fact comes from, and how lists are ordered.

Everroad is published by Cloute Motors LLC, which sells marketing services to some dealers listed here. That never changes who is listed, the order, or the facts. See How Everroad makes money.

1. Who is listed: every franchise rooftop

2. What facts we show, and where they come from

Every fact on Everroad has a value, a source link and the date we last checked it. You can see all three on the page.

Methods. Facts are gathered by automated reading of dealer and manufacturer pages, with software assistance (including AI) for pages that do not follow a standard layout. We keep a saved copy of the page each fact came from. A person reviews any change before it is published. Everroad pages are compiled with AI assistance and checked against dealer-published sources.

What we do not show. Vehicle prices and inventory, star ratings, review text, and dealer photos or marketing copy. We do not use manufacturer logos. Brand names identify dealers only. Everroad is not affiliated with or endorsed by any manufacturer or dealer.

Dates. If a fact has not been re-checked in 90 days, it is marked as stale. If a dealer's page no longer shows the fact, we remove it and record the removal in the change log.

3. When a dealer page appears in search

A dealer page is open to search engines only when it carries at least 3 facts read from the dealer's own website or its manufacturer locator, each with a source and date. Pages below that threshold are still visible on Everroad but are marked noindex.

A city-and-brand list (for example, Toyota dealers in Sandy) is published only if it has at least 2 qualifying dealers and at least one number specific to that list.

4. How lists are ordered

Order is mechanical. Each list states its sort rule at the top, for example:

We do not publish "best dealer" lists, scores or rankings that blend several factors. No payment, client relationship or request changes any dealer's position, and the code that sorts lists contains no list of Cloute Motors clients.

5. No reviews or ratings, by design

Everroad does not collect, show or summarize consumer reviews or star ratings. Where useful, we link to places where you can read reviews. We never write, request or pay for reviews of any dealer, or of Everroad.

6. Corrections

Anyone, including any dealer, can report an error by email, as described on the corrections page. Every dealer uses the same form and gets the same treatment. A correction is accepted only when the dealer's own site, its manufacturer locator or a public record supports it. Every published change is recorded in the public change log with the date, the field changed and the source.

The rules as the code applies them

Order on every list

Order: straight-line distance from the Salt Lake City and County Building, 451 S State St, nearest first; stores without a mapped location last, alphabetically. Payment never changes who is listed or the order.

Group pages are ordered alphabetically by store name.

Lists we build

A make list is built only when at least 2 stores hold that franchise. A service-option list (for example Saturday service) is built only when at least 3 stores have the option on record. A page about one fact of one dealer exists only when that fact is on record.

The Weekend Access Report publishes rates only once sales hours are readable for at least 10 stores and 30% of the list.

When a page is published for search

A dealer page is offered to search engines only once it carries at least 3 facts read from the dealer's own website.

A city and make list is offered only once at least 2 of its stores pass that test. A list with fewer than 2 stores is not built at all.
